Creating Change Counseling Center – Mount Arlington, NJ and Netcong, NJ
Job Type: Part-time / Full-time
Work Setting: In-person only (no telehealth)
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
- Provide ongoing medication monitoring and follow-up
- Collaborate with therapists and clinical leadership on treatment planning
- Provide psychoeducation to clients and families
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with State, Medicaid, and insurance standards
- Attend clinical case reviews and team meetings
- Utilize trauma-informed and culturally sensitive practices
- Support clients experiencing emotional dysregulation, trauma, anxiety, depression, and complex family stressors
- Provide crisis intervention when needed
Qualifications
- Active NJ license as APN (PMHNP)
- Active CDS & DEA licenses required
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and adults is required
- Knowledge of trauma-informed and evidence-based psychiatric practices
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-growing nonprofit clinical environment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, but not required
Preferred Experience
- Prior outpatient mental health experience
- Knowledge of Medicaid documentation requirements
- Familiarity with community-based mental health systems
