Creating Change Counseling Center – Mount Arlington, NJ and Netcong, NJ

Job Type: Part-time / Full-time

Work Setting: In-person only (no telehealth)

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
• Provide ongoing medication monitoring and follow-up
• Collaborate with therapists and clinical leadership on treatment planning
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and families
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with State, Medicaid, and insurance standards
• Attend clinical case reviews and team meetings
• Utilize trauma-informed and culturally sensitive practices
• Support clients experiencing emotional dysregulation, trauma, anxiety, depression, and complex family stressors
• Provide crisis intervention when needed

Qualifications

• Active NJ license as APN (PMHNP)
• Active CDS & DEA licenses required
• Experience working with children, adolescents, and adults is required
• Knowledge of trauma-informed and evidence-based psychiatric practices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-growing nonprofit clinical environment
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, but not required

Preferred Experience

• Prior outpatient mental health experience
• Knowledge of Medicaid documentation requirements
• Familiarity with community-based mental health systems
